Man Recordings is a name synonymous with the mainstream success of Baile Funk, bringing some of the greatest producers from outside of the genre together with Funk Carioca MCs and artists, to create some truly inspirational music over the past five years. The remarkable record label run by Daniel Haaksman, has certainly captured my interests here at Electric Zoo from the very beginning as well as countless other blogs across the globe, and this month Man Recordings are celebrating their 5th birthday with their 50th release 'Valeu!', a notable compilation featuring new tracks from a host of artists who have recorded for Man over the past 5 years. Check out the video above featuring Crookers, Jesse Rose, Sinden, Herve, Diplo and more friends of the label who all express what Man Recordings mean to them, and there are some more goodies below, brand new tracks taken from the compilation by longtime Man artists Seiji and Zombie Disco Squad.

Man Recordings have a couple of new bits arriving this month. First up is 'El Toro' by Beware+Motorpitch which comes backed with remixes from Edu K, Zombies For Cash and this great remix by Seiji below. Secondly they have a remix EP lined up for Schlachthofbronx's 'Ayoba' with Ku Bo, Beataucue, Phon.O, Beware+Motorpitch and Man Recordings label boss Daniel Haaksman all providing their own reworks and Belgian Polka funksters Kush providing their own cover version, but in the meantime check out Top Billin's remix of 'Ayoba' below.
