Gottwood Festival, the small electronic music and arts festival that packs a mighty punch in the intimate Carreglwyd Woodlands in Anglesey is back bigger and bolder this year with the likes of Mr Scruff, Lee Foss, Jamie xx, A Guy Called Gerald, Dark Sky and Midland all shaking the trees. Fellow bloggers Pelski will be on site hosting the Pelski VS Jackmode stage on Saturday with Round Table Knights(Made To Play) headlining as well as performances from Matanza (Live) (Anabatic Records), Monkey Safari(What! Following the success of the previous Jackmode VS Pelski nights during the past few months, the people who brought you these fine events are back with another. This time hosting Dirtybird Heavyweights The Martin Brothers, and Luca Lozano headlining Rooms 1 & 2 respectively, along with Nat Self, Hanne & Lore, Mr Ho, Johanna Knutsson and Pelski and Darkly providing the local support ,and as always they have been kind enough to provide some belting mp3s to wet your appetites for the event. After the success of last months big session, Counter Culture and Pelski are back to present their latest night. Saturday the 18th December, Jackmode will proudly be hosting room 1 with an all star lineup of Jesse Rose (Made To Play, Front Room), Zombie Disco Squad (Sound Pellegrino, Mad Decent), Oliver $ (Made To Play, Grand Petrol) and Coutner Culture resident Dick Von Stein, while Pelski takeover room two with Jet Project (Get Physical, Extended Play), Mr Solid Gold & Park Ranger (Troublevision), Pardon My French DJs (Kiss FM), and Pelski's own Charles Darkly all taking to the decks. Some big things happening in London this weekend from two of the country's finest Blog Collectives Pipedown and Pelski, both presenting some equally enticing lineups, continuing their streak of impressive nights in the big city.
First up Pipedown have brought in Lone (Werk Discs/Magic Wire), Funkineven (Eglo), Slugabed (Planet Mu/Ramp/Numbers) and of course the Pipedown Residents Sduk, Cntrst and Rylski for Firday Night @ The Rhythm Factory. Full details can be found on the Facebook Event Page.
Then on Saturday night, Pelski are hosting Room 2 @ Counter Culture with Roundtable Nights (Made To Play/Dirtybird), Midland (Aus/Phonica), and Mr Solid Gold & Park Ranger (Trouble Vision) on the bill, and if thats not enough Jackmode next door in Room 1 will also have Christian Martin (Turbo/Dirtybird), Zombie Disco Squad (Made To Play) and Solo (Deadfish) along for the ride. As a taster of whats to here's Midland's recent remix of Caribou thanks to XLR8R, which will no doubt mesmerise the Pelski crowd on Saturday, and a promo mix from Pipedown's Sduk and Cntrst which they have knocked up as a taste for whats to come this Friday.
The Pelski posse have got another world class event at the end of the week, with the lineup harnessing the power of P with guests Pangaea and Pariah making an appearance this Friday. The headliners will be joined by Pelski resident Charles Darkley and fellow bloggers from the Pipedown collective Sduk, CNTRST and Rylski all signed up for warmup duties.
