Delphic have caused quite a stir this first term of 2010, gaining chart success and more noteworthy from my perspective, an impressive band of remixes already from Paul Woolford, Renaissance Man and Ramadanman. Next to step up and join this roll call is Night Slugger L-Vis 1990 with his stomping, bass pounding take on their latest single 'Halycon'.

Probably the most sought after track of 2009, Kingdom's 'Mindreader' has finally seen the light of day this week thanks to Fool's Gold. This cropped up in so many high class mixtapes last year, generating all the hype and anticipation it deserves and its done remarkably well to stay out of the hands of bloggers and mp3 scavengers alike by today's standards. Its no secret that this release also brings forth some serious remix power to the equation with house and garage icon Todd Edwards providing a remix and dub and both Night Slugs, Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 providing their own mixes. This fantastic release by Kingdom is also getting backed by Acephale Records who are releasing a very limited 10" including the awesome B side 'You'. Kingdom is in town for Fool's Gold's Fabric Takeover this week and 'Mindreader' by Kingdom is out now on Fool's Gold and available to download now on iTunes, Beatport, Turntable Lab and all other digi-distributors.

One of my favourite releases of last year, 'United Groove' by the unrivaled star of 2009 L-Vis 1990, has finally been given the honour of a remix EP. Yep, Mad Decent have pulled out all the stops for this package with a host of all equally awesome remixes from Buraka Som Sistema, MJ Cole, Sound Pellegrino, Kingdom, TRG and Baobinga & ID. The 'United Groove Remixes EP' is out on Mad Decent and available now from iTunes, Turntable Lab and Juno.

L-Vis 1990 mixes things up yet again, taking new track 'Lay Me Down' by Sissy Nobby in a completey different direction you'd expect him to go, and as always he's backed it with a video of his own. The release is out today on Mixpak with remixes from DJ Sega, Renaissance Man and more.

Absolute pleasure to be able to share this track right now, L-Vis 1990 has unleashed his 'VIP Remix' of Gucci Vump's 'Sha! Shtil!' to the blogs. This extended dreamy take on the track, which was released last month on Sound Pellegrino, is just full of blissful funky beats, so good it topped my October chart, and came in second for the month in the opinion of the whole Grindin ranks.

Surprise, surprise, L-Vis 1990 on Electric Zoo. If you are one of the few that is sick of me mentioning this genius then you have a problem. Out this week is his debut on the marvelous Sound Pellegrino, with head honcho Teki Latex finally unleashing L-Vis' eagerly anticipated monsters 'Compass' and 'Zahonda'. This time round, remix backup comes from the infamous Christian Martin representing San Francisco and sticking the Dirtybird stamp all over 'Compass', while London's Greena does his business on 'Zahonda' packing some Funky into this great release. I could go on and on about how great his music is, and how his creativity doesn't stop there, but for now ill just say this: After a disappointing time filled with stagnant fidget and bassline nonsense this year, L-Vis 1990 has given me so much faith in british house music and opened my eyes and ears to so much innovation and creativity thats going on in this country right now, and he is certainly leading the way. Gucci Vump. Who? What? Precisely... I doubt all is going to be revealed anytime soon either, as like the much hyped case of Fake Blood, these enticing monikers shrouded in mystery have always gone on to sell well, and rightly so. Whoever it is, their debut EP for Sound Pellegrino is out today exclusively on Beatport appearing in other digital outlets from the 20th of October with remixes from Downtown (aka one half of Renaissance Man) and this little masterpiece from L-Vis 1990, who is also in line to drop a new EP for Sound Pellegrino in the coming months.

A massively magnificent mixtape has just found its way to my inbox. Fellow Grinder Bok Bok has put together a brand new Dubplates mix showcasing some of his and fellow Nightslugger L-Vis 1990's latest productions. Plenty of unreleased and huge fortchoming tracks here, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Bok Bok & L-Vis 1990's 'Nightslugs EP' which is coming out next week on Dress 2 Sweat.
