Kelela - 'Cut 4 Me' // Fade To Mind ♫

Fade To Mind, the latest label to spawn out of LA thanks to Kingdom and Prince William sees its inauguration today with its debut record from their in house artistes Nguzunguzu hitting the 'shelves' of digi stores across the globe. Its a breathtaking first record, from already established innovators who continue to push on exploring new sounds and production the world is yet to hear and to further impress, Nguzunguzu are the latest act to guest on the XLR8R podcast cooking up a mean mix which you can check out below. The 'Timesup EP' by Nguzunguzu is out now on Fade To Mind with remixes from Kingdom and Total Freedom, and available from Juno or Boomkat.

Unfortunately, there is a slight delay for us vinyl enthusiasts to get our hands on the increasingly spectacular Night Slugs EPs on beloved wax, but this week just as the latest EP from Velour has digitally dropped, the previous 'That Mystic EP' by Kingdom has made its way to 12". A must buy for me, but to push this to the rest of you, the Night Slugs fam are giving away this brand new dub from Kingdom. 'The Velvet Collection' by Velour is out now on Night Slugs and available to download now, and be sure to grab Kingdom's 'That Mystic EP' available on 12" now from Juno or Boomkat.

Night Slugs have superbly stepped things up this July with not one but two cracking EPs. First off, L-Vis 1990's anthemic 'Forever You' unexpectedly (for me at least!) popped up from nowhere earlier in the month and this week sees Kingdom's debut for the family, as 'That Mystic EP' drops with a big hype filled bang. This EP will certainly please fans of the label, with Kingdom's own NYC style of bass highly complimenting the renowned Night Slugs catalog of releases, feeling right home on this side of the Atlantic. As a free download we have this classic Kingdom refix, which I'll let Night Slugs boss Bok Bok describe; 'Kingdom applies his signature formula, splicing the intro bars into a full new track, refixing it with a diva vocal, extra synths and, bass pulses etc'. 'That Mystic EP' by Kingdom is out now on Night Slugs and available from Boomkat and Juno.

This one has been a long time coming, but the end result of this release is totally worth the wait. Out this week on Juno, The long awaited 'Mat, Bira, Kvinnor, Weed EP' by Marcus Price & Carli now plays host to a bunch of talented remixers, each of them plaguing our blogs over the past few months with their supreme music, with an epic lineup including Kingdom, Dubbel Dutch, Crazy Pays, Bok Bok, Girl Unit and Norrit. The 'Mat, Bira, Kvinnor, Weed EP' by Marcus Price & Carli is out now on Palms Out Sounds, available to download from Juno (Other digi-stores will get it next week), and the 12" is also available to pre-order now from Rough Trade.

Yes 'Mindreader' has already been covered on the blog, but a release this big deserves a bit more, especially when it brings even more remixes to the table. Kingdom's official and limited 10" vinyl release is available to order now from Acephale Records, and if you havent checked it already, the digital versions are out now on Fool's Gold with remixes from Todd Edwards, Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990, and now there is a new blog exclusive hot-steppin remix from CFCF ready for the taking below.

Probably the most sought after track of 2009, Kingdom's 'Mindreader' has finally seen the light of day this week thanks to Fool's Gold. This cropped up in so many high class mixtapes last year, generating all the hype and anticipation it deserves and its done remarkably well to stay out of the hands of bloggers and mp3 scavengers alike by today's standards. Its no secret that this release also brings forth some serious remix power to the equation with house and garage icon Todd Edwards providing a remix and dub and both Night Slugs, Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 providing their own mixes. This fantastic release by Kingdom is also getting backed by Acephale Records who are releasing a very limited 10" including the awesome B side 'You'. Kingdom is in town for Fool's Gold's Fabric Takeover this week and 'Mindreader' by Kingdom is out now on Fool's Gold and available to download now on iTunes, Beatport, Turntable Lab and all other digi-distributors.

A-Trak's Fool's Gold rightly takeover room 2 at Fabric next month with Kingdom, Seiji, Theophilus London, Kicks Like A Mule and of course A-Trak himself all representing the foolish family. Other rooms will also be hosting Spank Rock, Ninjasonik, Hannah Holland and Cooly G just to name a few, check out the entire lineup for February 5th in the flyer below. So in preparation of this takeover, Fool's Gold's very own star pupil, and predicted saviour of 2010 (no pressure dude!) Kingdom has knocked up a very enticing mix which is sure to draw the crowds in for the big night.

One of my favourite releases of last year, 'United Groove' by the unrivaled star of 2009 L-Vis 1990, has finally been given the honour of a remix EP. Yep, Mad Decent have pulled out all the stops for this package with a host of all equally awesome remixes from Buraka Som Sistema, MJ Cole, Sound Pellegrino, Kingdom, TRG and Baobinga & ID. The 'United Groove Remixes EP' is out on Mad Decent and available now from iTunes, Turntable Lab and Juno.
