I blame a hectic schedule for not posting about this record sooner, but an eagerly awaited debut EP from Brooklyn's Physical Therapy
has gone down a storm for me the past couple of weeks. Touching on too many genres to list, 'Safety Net
' takes influence from all angles of electronic music, from the four to the floor euphoric feels of 'Do It Alone
' to the drum and bass heavy hitting 'Drone On
'. A real mixed bag of a record that for most just wouldn't work, but for Physical Therapy
there's the same hard-to-pin personal presence in every track which ties the whole record together and allows it to flow and work, regardless of genre. Today also sees the man in question drop a brand new mixtape for Opening Ceremony
, here mainly focusing on house and garage vibes both new and old. 'Safety Net' by Physical Therapy is out now on Hippos In Tanks and available from Juno or Boomkat
