I blame a hectic schedule for not posting about this record sooner, but an eagerly awaited debut EP from Brooklyn's
Physical Therapy has gone down a storm for me the past couple of weeks. Touching on too many genres to list, '
Safety Net' takes influence from all angles of electronic music, from the four to the floor euphoric feels of '
Do It Alone' to the drum and bass heavy hitting '
Drone On'. A real mixed bag of a record that for most just wouldn't work, but for
Physical Therapy there's the same hard-to-pin personal presence in every track which ties the whole record together and allows it to flow and work, regardless of genre. Today also sees the man in question drop a brand new mixtape for
Opening Ceremony, here mainly focusing on house and garage vibes both new and old.
'Safety Net' by Physical Therapy is out now on Hippos In Tanks and available from Juno or Boomkat.
