The Shrew Would Have...

Hype can sometimes have a bad connotation, leaving many people disappointed in the end. Joy Orbison is a young lad whose certainly had his fair share of hype pie these last few months, but unlike those other disappointments Joy, real name Peter O'Grady delivers exactly what has been promised from the start, fulfilling all expectations of greatness and further impressing the masses with his emotional blends of garage and dubstep. Case and point would be his previous 2 EPs, including the much celebrated 'Hyph Mngo', both delivering that something new and refreshing to the uk dubstep scenes that a lot were craving. His next installment, this time with Will Saul's Aus Music, picks up were he left off with 'The Shrew Would Have Cushioned The Blow' and 'So Derobe' packing those trademark melodies and basslines full of feeling and soul. The almighty Actress manages to confuse and at the same time impress with his 'Neu Haus' retake on the title track providing a glitchy, kick pounding ensemble that will mesmerize for its entire eight and a half minutes. 'The Shrew Would Have Cushioned The Blow' by Joy Orbison is out on Aus Music available from the 22nd February on vinyl and digi formats.
