Cocaine Afternoon

The music this artist produces isn't exactly the kind you'd expect me to post on Electric Zoo, but I've completely fallen for this EP and even in this shitty weather we're having I feel as though the Sun has donned his proverbial hat. Organ Morgan, otherwise known as Cardiff's Mathew Mayes is no stranger to producing, having a number house and techno releases over the years. The guy has recently taken on this new moniker along with a new take on his production with his latest EP, the heavily sampled 'Cocaine Afternoon'. The EP itself has drummed up some support from Radio DJs getting some airplay on Radio 1, BBC 6Music and many other stations, clearly illustrating Organ Morgan's influences, from the likes of Lemon Jelly, The Go! Team or Pepe Deluxe, and comparisons have already been made of course to his main inspiration for this project The Avalanches, and their one and only classic album 'Since I Left You'. The 'Cocaine Afternoon EP' by Organ Morgan is available now to download for free, but keep your eyes and ears peeled for a future LP which is already in the works, and for more upbeat beats do check out Avalon (previously featured on here), another one of his projects where he produces alongside Rodski (of Chesus & Rodski fame) creating some filtered french electro tracks.
